Pine Drive Telephone Company is a quality telecommunications service provider who provides basic and enhanced telecommunications services, at reasonable rates, within its service territory of west central Pueblo County and southeastern Custer County.
Basic services (Touch-tone service is part of the basic local service rate) are offered at the following rates: Monthly Service Charge Single Party Residence Service: $21.22 or Single Party Business Service: $21.22
Directory Assistance: $ 0.95
Emergency 911 services: $ .70* *Surcharges for E-911 may be charged according to governmental assessments.
Other Basic Service Charges that appear on the monthly bill:
Federal Subscriber Line Charge: $ 6.50 Federal Access Recovery Charge: $ 2.50 Federal Universal Service Fund: 17.9% Colorado Universal Service Charge: 2.6% Telephone Relay Service Surcharge: $ 0.20
Federal Excise Tax (3%) plus Colorado (2.9%) and Local (1-2%) Sales Taxes apply to most charges.
Toll Blocking is available at no charge for low-income customers that qualify,
Low-income individuals may be eligible for Lifeline telephone assistance programs. Lifeline is a program that helps lower-income consumers to obtain basic telephone service by providing reduced monthly subscription charges. You are eligible for this discount if you participate in or receive benefits from certain government aid programs, or your household income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Only one Lifeline discount is allowed per household. If you have any questions, please call us at (719) 485-3400 and ask to speak with a Customer Service Representative.

In 1956, Joe and Edith Sellers took the switchboard which had been in the Pine Drive Store of Beulah, Colorado, set it up in their home and officially started the Pine Drive Telephone Company. With a staff of three - Joe, Edith and Dick (age 6,) they served 26 customers. After more than fifty years, Dick Sellers and his family still own and operates the Company, which now serves over 750 Residential and Business customers with private lines, and state-of-the-art commuication features. A field crew of five builds and maintains over 500 miles of cable through 200 square miles of west central Pueblo County and southeastern Custer County Colorado.
